"Red Runs Wild"
If I had a Ferrari,
I'd ride through hell,
Pick the devil from hell's VIP lounge,
And let the flames of damnation
Burn its fire-engine red.
But now it's having a color-blind effect,
As hellish red overwhelms me,
I’m losing what’s correct.
My beach life and sun-tanned skin
Become monotonous, like chestnut red.
Sunset hues, refusing to open their shades,
All pretending to be crimson red.
Valentine heartbeats warning of betrayal,
Hypnotizing me with cold blood red.
Apples, afraid of Newton beneath the tree,
Adjust to fear, posing as cherry red.
Pomegranates' red syrup flows like wine red,
Hiking its local price, gaining prominence.
Ketchup, now crystallized in ruby red,
It leaves the sandwiches, craving a new spread.
Emergency vehicle lights on signboards
And ambulances losing urgency to fun candy red.
While Santa wonders why 2024’s Christmas decorations
Darken to burgundy red!
The hibiscus petals, eager to compete with the rose,
Grow on red soil and adopt mahogany’s red!
Will red continue to consume me in its madness,
Eroding my calm with its artificial greatness?
When I blush for my lover,
The redness punctures my cheeks.
Can Aristotle and Plato of Greece
Finally unravel this fiery philosophy
And settle me in peace?
